Chandeliers have a minimum of three bulb holders and the number of bulb holders can be up to even 20 or 30. Some also have shades made of fabric and papers to attenuate bright and intense luminescence. In general, all centerpiece ceiling lights have some kind of covering for them made of glasses, crystals or fiber moulds. Traditional ones have metal fixtures, which can hold any type of light bulb while contemporary ones have fiber mould fixtures, which are uniquely made for energy saving bulbs.

Whatever you do, don't get an overly model, else it will look out of place and unwieldy. There can be no worse mistake that getting a light and discovering that it makes the whole ceiling look weird and peculiar. If you feel you don't understand which lamp to get for your ceiling, then don't hesitate to ask for help from a professional designer or lighting specialist. You will be better off if you do so! Again, you could go for a traditional or modern ceiling lamp depending on your choice. Traditional lamps are usually made of brass or wood to give them a traditional or customary look, while modern ceiling lamps are made from metal to give a more contemporary feeling.
Installing your new lights. Your new ceiling light fixture will have come with a mounting bracket. This will look like a solid piece of metal with screw holes and is likely to be shaped like a plate or a strip. The mounting bracket needs to be securely mounted to the electrical box in the ceiling with the wires hanging down around the bracket. Make sure that you attach the ground wire to the grounding screw on the mounting bracket. The next step is positioning your new ceiling lights so that you can connect the wires from the fixture to the ones coming out of the ceiling. Once all the wires are connected you need to carefully lift your new fixture up to the ceiling, pushing the wires up with it, and then line up the screw holes with the ones in the mounting bracket. Tightly secure your lights to the ceiling with the correct screws or bolts – this may take two people depending on the size of your fixture.
